7 : Honey Garlic Shrimp with Broccoli

Hubby said that he likes some broccoli dish, so I checked what’s inside our fridge and found some frozen shrimp… waiting to be cooked. HAHA.

Here’s my easy shrimp and broccoli recipe:

Ingredients:

Shrimps peeled and deveined (fresh shrimps are way much better)

1 broccoli ( sliced into florets)

1 tablespoon oil

Sauce:

1 teaspoon garlic, minced

4 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced

Serves: 2 – 3

Make sure to buy bigger shrimps (so hard to deveined these small ones)

IMG_9826Slice broccoli into florets

IMG_9827Wash in salt and water

IMG_9828Prepare the garlic, ginger and honey for marinade

Combine garlic, ginger, soy sauce and honey, divide it and set aside some for later

IMG_9834Marinate the shrimp with half of the sauce and put in the fridge for 1 – 2 hours.           (Marinated mine for 4 hours) Then discard marinade.

IMG_9835Blanch broccoli for a minute, and set aside

IMG_9836Set pan in high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil to pan then add shrimps

IMG_9837Cook shrimp in 2 batches

IMG_9838Put shrimp in the pan then add broccoli and half of the sauce ( Based on experience, just add less than half of the sauce so that it won’t be too saucy – or depends on your preference “tancha tancha lang yan” haha)
